I am a documentary photographer primarily working on extensive long-term projects. As a photographer, I feel committed to the tradition of social documentary photography, while also attempting to explore its boundaries by including additional media like objets trouvés or screenshots to my work in order to find new visual approaches to relevant topics.
Besides my personal photographic practice, I work for magazines, foundations and NGOs as well as corporate clients and teach in workshops and as guest lecturer at the university of applied sciences and arts Hanover, Germany in the field of photographic storytelling practices.
I am grateful, my work has been supported by scholarships of DAAD and Stiftung Kulturwerk of VG Bild. My projects have been exhibited on festivals, in galleries and museums and gained national and international recognition through awards such as the PX3 Awards, the Freelens Award or those granted by the Art Directors Club Germany. For more detailed information, check the list with a selection of Grants, Awards and Exhibitions below.
I am open to team up for collaborations and ready to work on assignments, both right in front of my doorstep as well as almost all around the planet!
